Take Time to Prayer Walk

This is a perfect time to prayer walk your neighborhood.  Maintain social distancing while outdoors getting some exercise in the process.

Joyce and I did the perimeter of our subdivision this afternoon, as we have often in the past. Our neighbors likely need prayer more than we realize.

If prayer walking is a new concept to you, you simply walk around an area, note what you see and pray about it. Onsight with insight. Ask Jesus to show you what to pray and where. He might draw your attention to a specific house or business. If so, ask Him how to pray and respond accordingly.

You might check out any neighborhood groups in your area and get onto their email list to be informed of what is going on. Our neighborhood group lists local crime statistics, etc. They also point out local businesses that are being used for criminal activities--drugs, sex trade, etc. All good food for prayer.

Our Father encourages us to pray without ceasing. We certainly have more opportunity during this current situation to begin healthy prayer habits that we can carry over into the future when things return to normal, whatever that is.

Just musing.
